What do you and your business do?

I am the Community Engagement Coordinator at Thornwell, a nonprofit organization that has been serving children and families since 1875. Thornwell is dedicated to strengthening families and helping children thrive through a variety of programs and services.

In my role, I oversee our volunteer program, build relationships with community partners, churches, businesses, and individuals, and coordinate in-kind donations that support the children and families we serve. A big part of my job is connecting people who have a heart for giving back with meaningful opportunities to make a difference in their community.

If applicable, what products and/or services does your business offer and do you have any specials or promotions to share?

 Thornwell offers programs and services focused on supporting children and strengthening families, including foster care, family support services, and educational opportunities.

While we don’t offer traditional products or promotions, there are many ways for individuals, businesses, and community organizations to get involved! We welcome volunteers, in-kind donations, community partnerships, and financial support.

With the holiday season approaching, we are also inviting churches, businesses, and individuals to participate in our annual Christmas drive to help make the season special for the children and families we serve.

How long have you been a BPW member?

 I have been a proud member of BPW Greenwood since June 2024. Since joining, I’ve had the opportunity to serve as Corresponding Secretary, be recognized as the 2026 Young Careerist at both the local and state levels, and was recently elected BPW South Carolina President-Elect!

What is a fun, surprising or unique fact about you?

 My husband and I have quite the little zoo at home! We have seven rescue dogs, two cats, a bearded dragon, ducks, and chickens! There’s never a dull moment around our house, and we wouldn’t have it any other way!
